Arrive in class tomorrow with all three drafts.Slides from class today are below.  Here is the specific homework that is also in the second slide.

Day 2 – Step 4 (2nd revision – 55-60 words max)
-As an individual, students will write to correct the issues, some for the second time, according to the problems listed in step 2 and to earn full credit according to the rubric. Continue to enhance word choice overall for verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. Also, students will add a fictional quote by someone famous related to their topic to help bolster the position of the paper; punctuate correctly and avoid introducing the quote with any tense of “say”. Remember, show it/don’t tell it – Make it happen for the reader!

See the slides below for today’s lesson.  TWA #3 Draft #2 is due tomorrow.  Follow the guidelines in the slide or below.  

Day 1 – Step 3 (first revision)
-As an individual, students will rewrite to replace the auxiliary verbs with action verbs, to remove any forms of “you”, and to improve current action verbs. Adjust word count to 45-50. The author should add a transition to the paragraph during the first revision as well. Show/Don’t Tell! Make it Happen.
